In the latest installment of Real People, Real Trucks, Ty J. of Mena, Arkansas, recounts the story of one big tree and one great truck.
My dad has a 2002 Ram 3500 4×4 with a 5.9L Cummins® turbo diesel with a manual 6-speed transmission. It has more than 250,000 miles on it. We cut and sell firewood often, and my dad cut a tree that was at least 2 feet in diameter, and it was at least 100 to 150 feet long. We put one of his log chains around it and hooked it to the truck. I was driving. I put it in 4-Lo and 1st gear, and let out the clutch real easy and it didn’t even grunt. NOW THAT’S A TRUCK!
Thanks for sharing, Ty. We appreciate your enthusiasm and your loyalty.
