Real People, Real Trucks | The Making of a Ram Man 2012 Ram 1500 Express – from Ram Files

After experiencing firsthand the impressive capabilities of his father’s Ram Truck, Adam W. of DeSoto, Missouri, decided to become a Ram man himself. His story, presented below, is one of our first Real People, Real Trucks submissions for 2013. And what a way to start the new year!

When I was younger, my uncle had a Ram Truck; I think it was a model from the mid-1990s, and I fell in love with the curves and style. It was like nothing else I’d ever seen. Well, back in ’05, my dad bought a brand-new Ram 2500 Laramie Edition Crew Cab with an 8′ bed and a Cummins engine—a nice truck with a beautiful interior.

But let me tell you, it’s more than just good-looking. I’ve personally hauled about 10,000 lbs in the bed itself—no trailer. It was setting on the overloads but it still hauled no problem. It made me a little nervous because it was 8 granite slabs on an A-frame and if that goes, you’re in trouble. But it made the haul. I love that truck and its capabilities so much that I purchased my own 2012 Ram 1500 4×4 quad cab Express in flame red about a week ago. Thanks, Ram Trucks, for making a capable truck that also rides nicely.

Thank you, Adam! We’re proud to know that both you and your dad now depend on Ram Trucks.
