It was a record-breaking weekend in Dallas, Texas for the Ram Truck brand. From setting world records, to supporting brand partner Miranda Lambert as she left the Academy of Country Music Awards as the most awarded artist of the night – it was a weekend filled with Guts, Glory, and not to mention a lot of Ram Trucks.
The weekend kicked-off with an exclusive Yahoo! Music Ram Country live-stream event featuring country star Thomas Rhett. 7,906 fans tuned in across the nation to see Rhett take the stage live from Dallas.
On Saturday, April 18th 2015 in Arlington, Texas, Ram Truck owners from seven U.S. states and Canada helped make history as the Ram Truck brand set a new Guinness World Record ™ title for the largest parade of pickup trucks.
The Ram Truck Brand broke the previous world record of 438 trucks when a total of 451 Ram Trucks participated in the Ram Truck Roundup.
Among those 451 trucks were older classic models, trucks that have been handed down from generation to generation, trucks that have been up-fitted and customized, and even some of the Ram Brand’s newest editions to the full lineup.
Ram Truck owners that participated in the Ram Truck Roundup also got to experience a morning of special activities including live car-crushing by the Raminator, music performances by the Texas-based country music band Moonlight Social, appearances by country music artists Kix Brooks, Thomas Rhett and Easton Corbin, and also giveaways from Ram brand partners. Ram truck owners also received free tickets for the ACM Party for a Cause Festival, which took place at Globe Life Park.
One thing that was apparent at the Ram Truck
Roundup was the shared passion that Ram owners have for their trucks, and the stories behind them. Check out the Ram Truck Roundup photo album on Facebook to get an inside look.
Ram was the “Official Truck” of the Academy of Country Music Awards, which also set another Guinness World Record ™ for the most attended live awards show. A total of 70,252 people attended the show at AT&T Stadium in Arlington on Sunday, April 19th 2015.
Ram Brand Partner and country superstar Miranda Lambert set another Guinness World Record ™ for most consecutive ACM Female Vocalist wins. She was the most awarded artist of the night, taking home awards for Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year, and was also honored with the ACM 50th Anniversary Milestone award.
