Thanks to social media, picturing yourself in a Ram Truck has never been easier.
After a successful debut at the 2012 New York International Auto Show, the Ram Social Media Truck is making an encore performance this week at the State Fair of Texas. The first-of-its-kind concept vehicle – built from a Ram 2500 Mega Cab – was specially “upfit” to provide a way for auto show and state fair attendees to share pictures of themselves on their social media feeds.
Here’s how it works: Ram fans interact with the photo-capturing feature incorporated into the truck’s side windows. Fans then have the option to broadcast their freshly snapped picture across their social media feeds along with a message that recounts the experience. The picture/message combo will also appear for a short time on the windshield of the Ram Social Media Truck for all in the direct vicinity to see. (How cool is that?)
A number of other technologically advanced features will allow users to connect with the Web directly from the Ram Trucks display at the State Fair of Texas. So, if you’re going, be sure to track us down. It won’t be hard. Just look for the coolest, toughest-looking trucks around. Also keep an eye out for people carrying Rammy the Ram stuffed animals, which we’ll be passing out each day in limited numbers while supplies last.
