2013 Ram 1500 | AOL Autos Truck of the Year

Space is getting tight in the old Ram trophy case. In recent weeks, the new 2013 Ram 1500 has collected awards from such prestigious news outlets as Motor Trend Magazine and the Detroit Free Press. Today, we’re pleased to announce that another award has been added to the list, this one coming courtesy of the editors at AOL Autos, who on January 3, 2013, named the 2013 Ram 1500 their Truck of the Year.

“The quality of new trucks has never been higher, and our job of separating the wheat from the chaff has never been more difficult,” said David Kiley, Chief Automotive Editor, AOL Autos. “Within our judging system the 2013 Ram 1500 was hands down our leading choice and winner of the AOL Autos Truck/SUV of the Year.”

AOL editors applauded the 2013 Ram 1500 for a smooth ride, the EPA-estimated 25 MPG highway best-in-class fuel economy, the exclusive RamBox® cargo management system, and a vastly improved interior.

“We’re extremely pleased that AOL Autos, a well-known source for automotive information, has deemed the 2013 Ram 1500 as its choice for Truck of the Year,” said Fred Diaz, President and CEO, Ram Truck Brand and Chrysler de Mexico, Chrysler Group LLC. “A recommendation from AOL is fantastic news for our dealers and customers, and further recognizes Ram Truck for delivering uncompromising high quality, capability and technology.”

There is no question that awards like this function as potent symbols of a truck’s quality. True as that may be, there’s still no substitute for actual in-truck experience. For that reason, we invite our readers to sign up to test drive the new 2013 Ram 1500.
