Next Item Up for Bid – One RAM Wheel

Along with the internal combustion engine, few would dispute the fact that the wheel is one of man’s most important engineering feats. Without it, another great feat of engineering would not be possible today—the New 2013 RAM 1500.

It’s fitting then that the next artifact we auction off for charity* is an aluminum-alloy, five-spoke, 17” wheel, the very same slated to come standard on the New 2013 RAM 1500. The particular wheel pictured above is painted black as “camouflage” and was used in actual prototype testing. Bidding for this small but significant piece of RAM history is now under way and will continue until next Saturday.

Also, be sure to mark your calendars—from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Monday, July 9, Head of RAM Truck Marketing, Dave Sowers, will be chatting live with RAM fans on the Facebook Engineering a GIANT page. This is your chance to hear firsthand from a high-level RAM team member about the new features and innovations comprising the New 2013 RAM 1500.

* RAM is proud to donate all proceeds from this auction to the USO in support of America’s troops and their families.
