Ram Trucks has been patiently awaiting the start of this year’s football season, eager to show football fans just how well suited the award-winning 2013 Ram 1500 is for tailgating. Turns out we’re not the only ones. Experts from Cars.com, a respected online source for buying and selling new and used cars, recently named the 2013 Ram 1500 the top tailgating vehicle for 2013.
“With football season comes the return of fans to parking lots across the nation to partake in tailgating festivities,” said Patrick Olsen, editor-in-chief at Cars.com. “The ultimate tailgate requires the perfect tailgating car, so we took a look at a variety of new cars to determine which ones have factory-installed features to take the drama out of the pre-game party.”
Wi-Fi-ready Uconnect® and the available RamBox® Cargo Management System (capable of storing up to 280 cans, plus ice) were among the factory-installed features that helped Cars.com select the Ram 1500 as its top tailgating vehicle. Adjustable tie-down points and truck bed divider, included with the RamBox package, were also cited as factors in the decision, in that they would help keep tailgating supplies safe and secure on the way to the game.
