The Ram Battle of the Bands may be over, but the sweet harmonies and powerful rhythms of our finalists Justine Blazer and The Natalie Turgeon Band are still going through our heads. These two great acts made it to the finals after a nationwide search of talented singers, song writers and musicians looking to make it big in the country music scene. During Rodeo Austin in March, these performers rocked the audience with their original country music numbers. The crowds and the judges had a tough time picking a winner, as both bands’ electrifying performances had the audience on their feet during the competition.
When the dust settled, Detroit’s own Justine Blazer was declared the winner and took home a cool $5000 for her original tune “New Country Beat”. The Natalie Turgeon Band didn’t leave empty handed either, as they went back to New Hampshire with $2,500 after jamming out their number “Country-ish”, locking in the runner-up spot.
For those of you who couldn’t make it to Austin, check out this video for highlights of the Battle and Justine Blazer’s winning performance.
