This weekend, the Ram Truck brand was on hand at the Oregon State Fair for the 25th anniversary of the STIHL Timbersports Series. It was six solid days of sweat, sawdust, and swearing, and it left us feeling manlier than a Stallone movie. We watched the top lumberjacks from across the nation compete for the coveted eight spots in the semi finals and the chance to test their mettle against the best in the biz. From there, the top eight were whittled down to four and entered to compete in the Series Championships on Sunday. The final round consisted of several grueling competitions, including Boom Run, Speed Climb, and a rigorous skill assessment across six key disciplines, including Springboard Chop, Stock Saw, Standing Block Chop, Single Buck, Underhand Chop, and Hot Saw.
As was somewhat to be expected, lumberjack legend Jason Wynyard swept the top finish in the six timed events, while reigning champ Alyse Schroeder snagged first in the Boom Run and Brian Bartow claimed the Speed Climb.
If you missed out on all the action this weekend, hit the jump for a firsthand view of the messy, loud excitement.
