Ram Truck Father’s Day Contest!

Update: Thanks everyone for participating in the Ram Father’s Day Contest! Winners will be announced shortly.

Alright RamZoners, we’ve got another cool contest lined up for you guys, this time in honor of Father’s Day. If you’re like most of us, you’ve got a dad that worked his tail off (not to mention put up with your rotten attitude growing up…don’t deny it!), and he deserves a day of recognition. Well here’s a fun way to tip your hat to him.

Starting on June 13th, we’ll be giving away a free Ram Prize Pack pictured below to a randomly selected father and child entry. What’s the catch? None – all you have to do is submit a picture link or story in the comment section below of you and your Father with a Ram truck.  Are you a father yourself? No problem, just share your picture or story of you with your kids and Ram truck, and you too can enter. Yes, this contest requires a Ram truck, but given our stellar fan base and brand loyalty, we’re guessing that won’t be a problem for many of you.

Obviously, the contest ends on June 19th (you know, Father’s Day), so get your submission in here ASAP, and then keep your eyes peeled for some results. Can’t hurt to keep an eye on our Facebook and Twitter pages either, if you don’t already. So what are you waiting for? Let’s see those pictures!

    Hello!
I would like to enter my hard working, dairy farming husband in this contest; I’d love to post a pic of him with our boys – ages 9 and 6 – and his beloved 2002 Ram 2500 Cummins Turbo Diesel – but can’t figure out how to do that on this screen.  So, please consider this his entry. . ..  thanks!!

My dad isn’t always the most tactful person. He’s embarrassed me plenty of times. But everything he has, he’s worked hard for. I’m proud to say that that is something that I’ve inherited from him.

My dad, his wife, and their two children (my 5 and 8 year old sisters) were in their home on Pennsylvania Avenue when the May 22nd EF5 tornado hit our town. He and his wife put my sisters in the hall closet and sat in front of the door with their feet against the wall to try and keep it closed while the tornado took off the roof and destroyed most of their earthly possessions. None of them were hurt, but all that was left of the house were the walls, the garage housing his ’69 Pontiac Lemans was leveled, and their Durango and Ram were totaled. They’re living with my grandparents until they can move into their new house. They replaced the Durango and my dad is driving my grandpa’s Ram until he can find another truck. He used to use his grill a lot during the summer and fall but being thrown into a neighbor’s yard by the tornado ruined the grill. I know it would mean a lot to him to be able to do something as normal as cook out, even if the grill isn’t like the one he had before.

Thanks for the chance to hopefully get my dad’s mind off all of this mess and Happy Father’s Day to all.

Sorry about posting three times. I couldn’t figure out how to get the picture uploaded until this third try.

Father’s Day means alot to me.  I have a 3 1/2 year old son.  When he was born, his mother did not put my name on the birth certificate and I had to fight for the right to be his legal father for 3 years in family court.  The day I recieved the birth certificate with my name on it as his father was one of the best days of my life, next to him being born.  Two days a week and every other Friday, I drive my 2006 Dodge RAM TRX4 Off Road to his daycare to pick him up for my visitation.  My son climbs up into the truck and jumps into his car seat in the back.  He loves my truck.  He calls it his truck and one day it will be.  I plan on giving this truck to him when he is old enough to drive.  I want to teach my son the basics and how to drive a real truck… a RAM TOUGH truck!

I would like to enter my Husband who had to pick up the slack when I lost my job and hold the Family together.

Through financial ups and downs, different jobs (or none), my dad’s hung onto his Hemi 4X4. It may sound silly to say a truck’s been part of our lives, but the fact is, it has. It’s sheltered our family on silent roads up and down the West Coast, through calm weather and storms. It’s faithfully held up for my dad while he used it to haul supplies as he restored our house and helped me move in and out of dorms during college. The truck even chauffeured my husband and me on our wedding day. 🙂

My father’s an honest, hardworking, loyal man who deserves more than I can ever give. He’s done his best to give my brother and me a better life peppered with camping trips (like the one in the photo below) and four-wheeling adventures–his sacrifices have ultimately become precious memories we’ll always be able to look back on.

I am on my Dad’s face book. He doesnt know it but I want to say, I can never drive his Dodge Dakota. No one can for that matter. That is his baby. He bought it new in 2001 and it still, for the most part, looks new. He deserves more than what he has given me and my brother. Just wish we could do more for him.

  • This is my dad John.  He has been a firefighter and paramedic for 15 years.  He is my role model, hero, and I want to follow in his footsteps.  I will be attending nursing clinincals beginning this fall semester and hope to work my way up to becoming an airmed nurse on the helicopter.  I even bought a dodge truck because my dad has a dodge and I love my truck more than the ford or chevy trucks I’ve had.  My dad also works in the emergency department on his days off from the firestation.  As a father of 5 and living two hours apart we don’t get to spend much time together.  I think he is such a wonderful person and dedicates his life to saving others and deserves a grill to cook on when he has a few hours off.  It will be great to be able to go visit my dad and spend time outdoors cooking.  If he were to win, the grill will be put to good use! I’m sure he will definitely load up his nice grill in his beautiful Dodge Ram and take it to the station to grill for his fellow firemen.  I would be so appreciative to present to my dad such a wonderful gift for fathers day.

My husband adopted our Granddaughter at her birth. He is hardworking, loving and takes her as his daughter. We bought a 2010 Ram new and he is always taking our daughter places so she can ride in the “pretty truck” as she calls it.He is the greatest dad in the world. Our daughter is 6 years old now!She tells everyone “if dad can’t fix it no one can”.

This would be for my husband!  He is a wonderful father to our 3 kids!  He had to give up his ’07 3500 Ram MegaCab back in 2008 when his business had to shut down.  He now drives an ’85 Ramcharger.  He has given up so much just to take care of this family!  He doesn’t want his kids to go through what he has growing up.  He lost his father and sister in an accident back when he was 11.  He is amazing and we love him so much!

Here’s pic of my dad’s Ram 1500. He said it’s the best truck he’s ever owned. Happy father’s day dad!
