Ram Trucks Rider Tucker Hibbert and Amsoil Championship Snocross Come to Michigan

You’ve seen Tucker Hibbert dominate snocross courses all over the country on his quest to become the winningest snocross rider in history. From February 21 to 23, Tucker was in our backyard for a race at Mt. Pleasant’s Soaring Eagle Casino. Tucker is the current ACS points leader and we got to see him add to that lead when he took to the snow in Ram Truck’s backyard.

Some might say that Tucker has a sort of unofficial home-track advantage in Michigan. This event was brought to you by Ram Trucks and just so happens to have been held right in our backyard. That sure explains all of the #68 fans wearing green and black in Mt. Pleasant during the 2/21  – 2/23 weekend. Thanks for your coming out and showing your support this weekend.

Don’t worry. If you couldn’t make it to the race, you can still get in on the fun. You can watch the livestream below to follow Tucker and the entire field through every turn and jump.

Three Things Not to Be Without This Winter

Ram 1500 in snowscape

Given the potential for several more weeks of wintry conditions, we want to remind you that in the winter months especially, it’s always best to be prepared. Here are three items you never want to leave home without:

Ice Scraper and Snow Brush

Oh, sure — in a pinch, a credit card will work as an ice scraper. Barely. But trust us: Try that lame gimmick just once, and from that moment on, you’ll promise yourself to keep a real scraper on board. A stiff, heavy scraper with a snow brush on the other end is indispensable in foul weather. Stow one away and never let it leave the vehicle, so you’ll know it’s always there.

Windshield Washer Fluid

There’s nothing quite as aggravating — and sometimes, as downright hazardous — as running out of windshield washer fluid halfway to your destination. If you’re off-roading or plowing, your windshield can quickly be clouded with salt, snow, and/or mud. You’ve got enough on your mind without wondering how much fluid is left in the reservoir. Keep an extra gallon in the back seat or RamBox, and you’ll know you always have more if you need it.

Extra Pair of Gloves

Scraping ice from windows in your bare hands can be an unpleasant — even painful — task. The heated steering wheel in your Laramie Longhorn doesn’t do you much good when you’re outside clearing your windows. And one pair of gloves can quickly get soaked all the way through. If you keep an extra pair in the glove box (ah! so that’s why they call it a glove box!), you can be sure of keeping your hands warm and dry, which is a far more comfortable way to drive. And those extra gloves don’t have to be anything fancy, either — an inexpensive pair of work or garden gloves will do just fine. Chances are it’s a good idea to keep an extra set around anyway. You never know when you’ll need them. Even in warm weather.

These three items could prove invaluable for winter driving. Maybe you have some ideas, too. What do you never leave home without? Share your winter driving tips with us on Facebook www.facebook.com/ramtrucks

Stock up on Mopar Gear for Spring

Truck bed Tent

Winter may be a great time to have some fun in the snow and show what your Ram is capable of in wintery conditions, but when the snow melts it’s still time to play. Pretty soon, temperatures are going to be rising and we want to make sure you’re ready.

Here at Ram Trucks, it doesn’t get any better than Mopar®accessories. Not only does Mopar.com stock accessories made specifically for Ram, their parts are also tailored to each and every Ram vehicle. That means you don’t have to deal with the headache of parts that are engineered to fit a variety of vehicles. The right accessories, tailored to you and your vehicle.

Here are some suggestions to get you prepped and ready.

 Sport Utility Bars

The best way to outfit your Ram for a multitude of needs is to start with a basic that you can build on. The Sport Utility Bars are just that. In addition to extending your truck bed’s carrying capacity, they have the added bonus of supporting additional racks for bikes, kayaks, cargo, etc.

 Tents

Designed to be the perfect addition to your truck bed or to act as a stand-alone, Mopar’s® tents should be standard in your gear. Whether you’re looking for extra space on your family camping trip or in need of extra cover for your hunting gear, the versatility of Mopar’s® tents for Ram Trucks is exactly what you need.

 Bike Racks

Before you hit the trails you gotta hit the road, and Thule racks are perfect for making sure your bikes get there with you. Thule produces Mopar-approved accessories that work seamlessly with your utility bars or cross bars.

 Cargo Ramps

Sometimes a rack just isn’t enough, and that’s when you need ramps to get your gear into your Ram Truck. Whether it’s an ATV, dune buggy, or motorcycle, Mopar’s® cargo ramps make loading your toys and gear a breeze so you can get to work or play as fast and easy as possible.

Other accessories include cargo nets, carriers, guards, side and stirrup steps, and so much more. Combine these with your tie-downs and straps and you’re ready for almost anything your weekend can throw at you. So get out there, tie it down, rack it up, and get off the highway and into your favorite warm weather fun.

Ram Trucks Go High Octane to Celebrate 6.4L HEMI

6.4L HEMI Ram 2500 Snowplow

Last year we announced that our Heavy Duty lineup would be available with our 6.4L HEMI as an addition to the already legendary 5.7L HEMI and super capable 6.7L Cummins. A gas engine option that would offer truly Heavy Duty capability for those buyers who prefer to drive a gas engine truck. Producing 410HP and 429 lb/ft of torque, the 6.4L HEMI lives up to its name, offering more than enough power and torque to help Heavy Duty buyers get the job done day in and day out.

From the time the engine was announced, we couldn’t wait to put it to the test. No one is tougher on a truck than the Ram team in Detroit, and we wanted to see what the new HEMI was made of. So we headed north to some of the coldest, most isolated areas we could find to put the HEMI through its paces.

Pro Snowboarder DCP

We didn’t go alone, though. We brought professional snowboarder DCP with us. No one knows how to take on a mountain quite like DCP, and between time behind the wheel and on his board DCP made the most of his experience. From the smile we could tell he wasn’t disappointed.

Ram 2500 6.4L HEMI

When you’re talking about climbing snow-covered mountain roads, the Ram 2500 was the real hero. Without it, we would have been left at the base of the mountain – only able to dream of the perfect powder waiting above us. We’d be lying if we said the ascent was easy, but the HEMI and our 2500 performed perfectly, and before we knew it we were sharing views like these:

Pro Snowboarder DCP

But if you know anything about the Ram team you know that we work just as hard as we play. That meant we couldn’t resist hooking up the plow to see how the 2500 would do pushing some serious snow. Needless to say, we weren’t surprised when it powered through.

Ram Snowplow

While we were seeing how far we could push the 2500, DCP was taking on some challenges of his own. He’s been known to drop in to some crazy runs, but even he paused before dropping in to this one. The GUTS and GLORY factor was part of the reason we brought him along.

Ram Rumble Winners Jersey Bound for UFC 169

Ram Rumble

Ram Trucks is proud to partner with the UItimate Fighting Championship for its 20th anniversary fight this weekend. To celebrate, we had our Facebook fans challenge their friends to battle in the octagon in a rock, paper, scissors-style fight. Competing entered them into a sweepstakes that offered the chance to win a trip to UFC 169 in Newark, New Jersey. This weekend, two lucky winners are headed to New Jersey for the UFC experience of a lifetime. They’ll attend the fight as special guests of Ram Trucks and UFC.

Ram Rumble

UFC 169 certainly lived up to the GUTS and GLORY standards you’d expect. Our winners had a once-in-a-lifetime experience as a one-loss Renan Barao went head to head with Urijah Faber in a bantamweight title fight.

Our grand prize winners weren’t the only ones who emerged from the octagon victorious, though. Other winners won heart rate watches, fitness balls, water filtration sports bottles, blender bottles and sports watches: plenty of gear to keep them in fighting shape as they joined our grand prize winners from home as we celebrated 20 years of UFC.

The prizes are claimed, but you can get in on the Ram Rumble action for fun and bragging rights. Stay tuned to ramrumble.com as we prepare a new gaming experience that you can challenge your friends to. Isn’t the thrill of victory the greatest prize anyway?
You can check out the full fight card and fight details at www.ufc.com.
