There’s something about being in your own backyard that adds a little extra pride to an event. The North American International Auto Show is always a special event for Ram Trucks, and this year was no exception. We brought our award-winning lineup of trucks and vans to Cobo Hall to welcome Detroiters in a way that only Ram Trucks can. Here are some highlights from the show.
The year 2014 started with big news for Ram Trucks as we were named the 2014 Motor Trend Truck of the Year for the second time in row. We take great pride in being the only vehicle to have captured the title in back-to-back years, so it’s no surprise we displayed the calipers front and center when we brought them home to Detroit. Just behind the calipers, you can see the newest addition to the Ram 1500 lineup: the 2014 Ram 1500 Outdoorsman Mossy Oak Edition. Ram is committed to making a truck for every lifestyle, and both work and play. The Mossy Oak Edition is a testament to that commitment.
One of our strongest partnerships is with Case IH and Case Construction. That partnership led to this standard cab, dual rear-wheel 2500 designed specifically for life on the job site. We’re proud to have Case as a partner and took full advantage of their expertise on the farm and job site when considering the design of this Case Edition Ram Truck.
When you can tow almost three tons more than the competition, you’re going to draw some attention. The Ram 3500 did just that in Detroit, proving to be one of the stars of the show. It probably helps that we’re not shy about proving that the truth is in the numbers when it comes to HD capability.
The Ram Trucks family wouldn’t be complete without the Ram ProMaster. Our most capable commercial van was on display and attracted attention from small-business owners of all kinds. The ProMaster’s low total cost of ownership and unique capability are attractive to those who need a class 2 van to drive their business.
We didn’t forget about our friends at Ram Commercial at the show. This rancher body is just one of thousands of upfits available for our lineup of chassis cab trucks. Our chassis cabs are meticulously designed to be the most versatile and upfit friendly of any on the market. Features like flat frame rails, dual alternators and a one-of-a-kind Power Take Off (PTO) system mean Ram Chassis Cab is as ready to get to work as you are.
If you couldn’t join us for NAIAS this year, we hope you got a good taste of everything we brought to show off on our home turf in Detroit. You can learn more about the entire Ram Trucks lineup at www.ramtrucks.com.
