Cummins 6.7’s Biggest Fan (Pt 6): No Feet with Exhaust Brake

As anyone who has ever done any significant hauling in a diesel rig can attest to, an exhaust brake is a necessary upgrade to avoid completely vaporizing your wheel brakes. An aftermarket system can set you back a pretty penny though, which is why Cummins engineered the VGT turbocharger. Check out the video above as Chief Design Engineer Dave Connor gives our buddy Tim an exhaustive run-down on how the new feature works.

This trip marks the final chapter in Tim’s Cummins adventure, but the show’s far from over. We’ll continue to bring you all of the latest news, pics and vids from Ram Truck HQ – including interviews with the engineers that made these mammoth machines possible.
