2012 Ram Pickup with Added Power, Updated Style and Safety

Ram is upping the ante with added power and style. The 5.7-liter HEMI® V-8 now features up to 390 horsepower and 407 pound-feet of torque, and the 6.7 Cummins diesel engine boasts 350 horsepower and 800 lb/ft. of torque.

The 2012 Ram 1500 offers a flex-fuel capable 4.7-liter V-8 providing 310 horsepower and 330 lb.-ft. of torque, and a 3.7-liter V-6 generating 215 horsepower and 235 lb.-ft. of torque. Top it off with the new six-speed automatic transmission with updated torque converter, and you’re talking improved fuel efficiency and serious strength.

Safety and convenience are important, too, so we’ve ramped up some of the features that make life easier and safer for you and yours. Our industry-first RamBox® storage system is perfect for work or play (tailgating anyone?) as well as 30 active and passive safety features.

Did we mention Ram looks good too? The premium craftsman interior of the Ram 1500 stands out with six-ring instrumentation panel, chrome accents, and two-tone upholstery. On the exterior, the Ram 1500 features an aluminum hood with a large power bulge and a forward-canted grille which shows off a “head down, ready to charge” attitude.

“The Ram 1500 lineup has a truck for everyone,” said Fred Diaz, President and CEO, Ram Truck Brand and Chrysler de Mexico – Chrysler Group LLC. “From the value-priced Tradesman with a standard V-8 to the loaded Laramie Longhorn, Ram Truck brand will continue to answer our customers’ needs with products that hit high marks for durability, innovation and appearance.”
