Big Things Come in Small Packages

During the National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA) show this week, we introduced our newest member of the hard working Ram family. The Ram Cargo Van (or more affectionately known as the Ram C/V) is designed and engineered with the small business owner and commercial fleet customer in mind. We know you don’t always need a big brute to haul the goods. If your business calls for a capable and nimble vehicle that is affordable to operate and can carry a hefty payload, we have just what you need.

The foundation of the Ram C/V is its commercial-tuned ride and heavy-duty load-leveling suspension that is designed to offer maximum hauling capability. This capability for the Ram C/V, means that it won’t look like a low-rider when you pack it full of goods. Under the hood is our award winning best in class 3.6-Liter Pentastar V6 delivering 283 horsepower that churns out 260 ft.-lb. torque all while sipping down 25 mpg. With all that power under the hood, you can pack its 144.4 cubic feet of interior storage space with a 1,800-lbs. cargo payload and tow up to 3,600 lbs. Our engineers also made sure to equip the Ram C/V with a heavy duty radiator and transmission cooler that keep everything humming along nicely.

“We see growth in the Class 1 light commercial vehicle market,” said our President and CEO Fred Diaz. “With its class-leading capability and a lower total cost of ownership, the highly versatile Ram Cargo Van is a great vehicle choice for small businesses and commercial fleets.”

Inside you’ll find a list of standard creature comforts such as dual-zone air conditioning, an overhead console, A-pillar passenger assist handle, 120-volt auxiliary power outlet, 12-volt front and rear DC power outlets, air filtering, audio jack input for mobile devices and autostick automatic transmission. For those of you who like to get dirty, durable and easy to clean cloth low-back bucket seats are also standard. We also threw in driver and passenger- side sun visors with mirrors, rear-view auto-dim mirror, dual glove boxes, front courtesy / map lamps, headlamp shut-off delay and a cargo compartment observation mirror.
The toughness of the Ram C/V is more than skin deep. The structural aluminum rear load floor is designed to withstand the rigors of hauling heavy cargo and with two optional layouts available; our Ram C/V can be configured for just about anything you throw in the back of it. You can even order it “incognito” with solid rear panels instead of glass to keep prying eyes away off from your goods.

So don’t be deceived by its small size, our job rated Ram C/V is one tough customer. Whether you own a commercial carpet cleaning business or haul engine blocks and cylinder heads to the machine shop, it’ll carry just about anything you throw in it and ask for more!

    RAM…I have an idea..
Please listen,I am not a nutjob/buffoon..(dont listen to my girlfriend).
Make a fullsize version of the RamVan,you know like the old B-series size,HEMI,CUMMINS,single rear wheel, dually…
A bigger full size rear drive of this current CaraRam would look pretty good,I picture the one above full size rwd and a 390 hp HEMI,that my friend would be a “manvan”
(anticdotal) I think so,my personal circle of Mopar buddies thinks so…Some who need a van for recreation/work use ,now drive Ford &GM.. Their B-series have been reliable soldiers well over 300,000 miles and 7-10 years.
The fullsize GM vans look similar to the old AStro/Safari vans..
Make a RAM VAN Full Size,I know you are going to use a Fiat model, but the Sprinter didnt go over to well here,Dodge guys who need a van, want a domestic looking van..Remember you used to rule the van world, cargo, conversion world, camper vans ect…I know it costs money, but if you could pull it off I am sure it would be a winner !!.

Gotta give me credit,I didnt complain about the non DODGE Ram..or is it still a DODGE,I am still confused !!???!

Anyways I am glad you guys are still around, and making great models..good luck..And at least put the name DODGE somewhere on the 2012 RAM 1500,I will be buying one !!Hopefully with a 392 HEMI !!?
