A Ram 2500 rides off into the distance
Even though this week’s edition of Real People, Real Trucks arrived from Travis K. in Lakeland, Minnesota, without a photo, we still feel it’s worth posting. When we come across great stories like this one, it would be a real shame not to share them with the world.
In 1995, my dad purchased a brand new Ram 2500 and I spent a lot of quality time growing up in that truck, whether it was going camping, fishing or hunting. In 2008, the truck was passed down to me as my first vehicle. At the time it had 330,000 miles on it.
I continued to drive it a lot, creating many lasting memories with my friends and the truck that we nicknamed “The Office.” We would use it to tow my fishing boat or to tow my friend’s wakeboard boat or just to go for a nice cruise. Whatever we needed the truck to do, it always performed well.
Last spring it finally had to be retired, 17 years after my dad bought it and with 496,000 miles on it. I can say it really was an awesome truck and we definitely got our money’s worth!
Thanks for taking the time to write, Travis. We appreciate your support.
